Welcome to July.

The month we have all been waiting for, apparently. (Especially us Leos 🦁)

After all the promises of transformation, expansion, and breakthrough that arrived with the Fire Horse, you may be forgiven for wondering where that horse got to.

Did it ride off over the horizon?

Leaving nothing but gastronomical fuel prices, world events, and the increasing relentlessness of ordinary life?

Has anyone actually seen this horse lately?

Because from where I am standing, 2026 so far has felt less like riding triumphantly into the sunrise of a new day on the horizon, and more like clinging to the saddle in the thickest fog we ever did see.

I am writing this on Midsummer, and this feels like the first day of summer in the UK this year (bar four). Anyone else had their heating on in June?

I bet the Fire Horse loves that!

And yet... it feels, with the Solstice, that something has shifted.

The fog that surrounded so much of the year is no longer here.

And perhaps that is all we ever truly need.

How Was June For You?

Over in my Tarot Journey community, we spent 14 days travelling through the Suit of Swords in Activate Your Authenticity.

What emerged surprised many of us.

It wasn't about finding ways to tell the world who we are.

In fact, quite the opposite.

It was about seeing through the stories we tell ourselves about who we are.

The stories that quietly drive our decisions.

The stories that shape our reactions.

The stories that determine what we believe is possible.

I have never been a particularly enthusiastic advocate of the word mindset.

In fact, I place it in the same box as gratitude.

Now before anyone comes for me, let me be clear — I know these things work.

But if you tell me I need to practise gratitude or work on my mindset, it activates nothing but my rebellious inner teenager.

Perhaps you can relate? 😏

And this is exactly why I love journeying with the Tarot.

The Tarot bypasses the ego.

It slips past the defences.

It gently sidesteps the stories.

Rather than attempting to change us from the outside in, it shifts us from the inside out.

And another beautiful gift emerged from our journey through the Swords.

Something many of us didn't realise we had lost.

Our trust in divine timing.

Slowly, card by card, reflection by reflection, that trust began to return.

Not because all the answers arrived.

Not because every manifestation suddenly landed on our doorstep.

But because we felt it return.

And perhaps that is one of July's greatest questions.

Now that trust is returning...

Will the things we've been hoping for finally arrive?

Or is trust itself the medicine we are still being asked to strengthen?

Only time will tell.

Because if June was about clarity...

July feels like it is about trust.

🔮 The AstroTarot Lowdown for July 🔮

July begins with Jupiter in Leo (Six of Wands) immediately squaring Chiron in Taurus on the 1st. (High Priest)

And there it is.

The Fire Horse.

Back again.

Only this time he doesn't arrive carrying certainty.

He arrives carrying a question.

Can you expand without abandoning the parts of yourself that still hurt?

Can you step into visibility without first demanding perfection?

Can you allow yourself to be seen before every wound has healed?

Leo wants us to shine.

Chiron reminds us why we have been hiding.

And somewhere between the two lies the medicine.

🌊 Neptune Retrograde — 7th July

On the 7th Neptune (The Hanged Man) turns retrograde in Aries (Emperor).

Wow! This feels strong!

Could life as we know it be turned on its head, on the macro as well as the micro?

Could we see politicians hanging themselves, shooting themselves in the foot, and freedom in rebellion?

Our dreams become louder (especially as Mercury is already retrograde in Cancer).

The signs become stranger.

What have you been pretending not to know?

July asks you to stop seeking external confirmation and begin listening to the still voice within.

Not the loud voice.

Not the fearful voice.

The still one.

The one that has been quietly waiting for your attention all along.

🌾 Venus Enters Virgo (Nine of Pentacles) — 9th July

A few days later Venus enters Virgo.

After the theatrical fire of Venus in Leo, this feels like stepping into a sacred temple garden.

Love becomes practical.

Beauty becomes devotional.

Care becomes a spiritual practice.

This is not the grand romantic gesture.

This is the cup of tea.

The hand on the shoulder.

The meal prepared with love.

The simple act of showing up.

🌑 New Moon in Cancer (The Four of Cups) — 14th July

This year's Cancer New Moon journeys deeper than usual — and that's saying something, with Mercury retrograde in Cancer. Imagine your dreams getting even weirder now!

Oh my!

If there was ever a mystical, magical storybook opening in your life, it is now!

It's a homecoming — but not a surface-level homecoming.

An invitation back to yourself — but not just skin deep.

This moon asks:

Where do you feel safe?

Who do you feel safe with?

Where do you belong?

What do you long for?

Where is the magic in your life?

And if it has gone, what would bring it back again?

And P.S... what would happen if you stopped trying to earn what was already yours?

⚡ 20th–22nd July — The Turning Point

This is where the month becomes truly extraordinary, and where even hardened astrologers against hype have had to admit this is something truly incredible.

Jupiter in Leo (Six of Wands) dances with Neptune retrograde in Aries (The Hanged Man and The Emperor) and opposes Pluto in Aquarius (The Queen of Swords), whilst sextiling Uranus in Gemini (so crazy there isn't even a Tarot card!).

Boom!

Everything that's been waiting, building, brewing, begins moving at once.

Doors fling open.

Truths are fully on the table.

Old ways of being and power structures crumble.

New possibilities appear.

The Fire Horse returns.

But wiser now.

Less impulsive.

More intentional.

He knows where he is going.

🦁 Sun Enters Leo (Strength and The Sun) — 22nd July

And then...

Leo Season.

At last.

Like heralding a fanfare, here is the open heart.

The return of warmth.

The return of creativity.

The return of courage.

Not performative confidence.

Authentic confidence.

The kind of poise that grows from within, when you've been through it, and now you know who you are and what you are capable of.

There is no more proving (that rode off with the Fire Horse and Cancer season — The Chariot!).

The very next card in the natural order is Strength, the quiet inner kind that is just there.

☀️ Mercury Direct in Cancer (The Three of Cups) — 23rd July

Finally.

The joy of togetherness and reunion.

Celebration as clarity arrives.

Life will not look the same, but whatever and whoever made it through this extraordinary time riding in bare-fire horseback is here to stay.

🌟 Full Moon in Aquarius — 29th July

The month ends beneath an Aquarius Full Moon.

The Star.

Uranus burnt The Tower that confined us down this month, and here is more than:

Hope.

Vision.

Community.

Future.

Because if the astrology is anything to go by, the future just arrived.

And if we still can't see it, maybe we need to believe it to see it.

This moon asks:

What kind of life are you creating?

And who are you becoming in the process?

The answers may surprise you.

If June restored our clarity through the Swords, perhaps July is here to restore our inner knowing through the Cups.

The world is loud right now.

Everyone has an opinion.

Everyone has a prediction.

Everyone wants to tell you who you should be.

July asks something different.

July asks you to honour the still voice within.

To trust what you know before you can explain it.

To listen before you react.

To feel before you analyse.

And to remember that your soul has been speaking to you all along.
