The AstroTarot Lowdown for August 2026

✨ The AstroTarot Lowdown for August 2026 🔮 ✨

Welcome, Creative One ❤️🔥

Dearest AstroTarot Reader, 💌

Welcome to August.

Or perhaps I should say...

Welcome to Lammas. 🌾

The ancient festival of Loaf Mass.

The first harvest.

The moment we stop asking whether anything is growing and begin noticing what has quietly been ripening beneath the surface all along.

And I don't know about you...

...but this year there feels to be something rather magnificent in the oven.

Not quite baked.

Not quite ready.

But definitely rising.

Something creative.

Something heart-led.

Something that has taken far longer than we imagined.

Leo rules the heart.

Leo rules creativity.

Leo rules courage.

And perhaps more than any August I can remember, there is a sense that the universe is asking us not simply to create something...

...but to become the person capable of creating it.

🌾 My Own Harvest

This is a particularly enormous month for me.

On 5th August, me, my hubby, my sister from another mister and our two cats, Goddess Minerva, King Athelstan climb into a van and begin the three-day journey to our new home in southern Spain.

The first home I have ever owned.

The home we've waited years to legally live in.

If all goes to plan, somewhere between France and Andalucía, our lives change forever.

Of course...

there is one small problem.

The (big?) cat/s weren't consulted.

Now, anyone who knows Goddess Minerva and King Athelstan will appreciate that they have standards.

Very. High. Standards.

Their expectations generally include remaining in their earthly palace, being worshipped appropriately, and absolutely not being placed into travelling carriers before being gently informed that they are about to spend three days in the back of a van.

Mine neither, if I'm honest.

It sounds utterly ridiculous.

Especially as we'll quite literally be trying to dodge wildfires along the way.

There have been moments when I've wondered whether we're completely mad.

Perhaps we are.

But sometimes life develops its own momentum.

Doors finally unblock.

The timing takes on a life of its own.

And eventually...well...

...you gotta roll with it.

Hopefully, it will be less rock and more Oasis....

🌳 The Fig Tree

Waiting for us there is something that feels wonderfully symbolic.

Amongst developing olives, almonds, citrus and carob is a gynoormous golden fig tree.

Absolutely bursting.

More figs than we can wave a leaf at.

Now that's Lammas.

It's going to be a lot of fig jam on that loaf.

In fact...

do you want some loaf with your fig jam? 🍞🍯😂

I've since discovered that throughout history the fig tree has symbolised wisdom, spiritual awakening, abundance and community.

People gathered beneath fig trees.

They learnt beneath fig trees.

They rested beneath fig trees.

They shared life beneath fig trees.

And standing beneath ours, it is difficult not to feel that perhaps something is quietly brewing here too.

Not just a new home.

Not just a new country.

But a new chapter.

One rooted deeply enough to nourish others.

🌑 Twenty-Seven Years Later...

This August carries another layer for me.

One that I hadn't fully appreciated until recently, and how could I? Sometimes things take a lifetime to get another piece in the puzzle, but here it is:

The Total Solar Eclipse in Leo falls on 12th August.

The day after my birthday.

The last time an eclipse came so close to my birthday was 11th August 1999.

I remember it vividly.

The sky went pitch black in the middle of the day.

I remember an astrologer saying that although it wouldn't feel like it at the time, it would one day reveal itself to have been deeply auspicious.

That something had been seeded.

Honestly?

It didn't feel auspicious.

I had lost my baby daughter.

My marriage.

And the only man who had ever truly been like a father to me.

I was twenty-two.

A very broken twenty-two.

Looking back now...

perhaps something really was planted that day.

Not joy.

Not answers.

But resilience.

Compassion.

Purpose.

The person I would eventually become.

And now, twenty-seven years later, another eclipse arrives beside my birthday.

Only this time...

I'll be living beneath a sky that is already preparing for the next great celestial event.

Because on 2nd August 2027, Andalucía sits directly beneath another extraordinary total solar eclipse.

The sky will darken again.

This time for over four minutes.

The wheel turns.

And somehow...

it feels as though what begins this August isn't simply a fourteen-day Tarot journey.

It feels like the beginning of something that may continue unfolding right through to that extraordinary summer.

But for now, here's....

🔮 The AstroTarot Lowdown for August 2026

🌿 Chiron Retrograde in Taurus — 3rd August

The Hierophant

The Hierophant

The first great tide of the month begins quietly.

Chiron—the wounded healer—turns retrograde.

Until January 2027, healing turns inward.

Not to fix ourselves.

Not to become better.

Simply...

to listen.

Old wounds often return during Chiron retrograde.

Not because we failed to heal them.

But because perhaps we've finally become strong enough to understand what they were trying to teach us.

The Hierophant reminds us that wisdom isn't information.

Wisdom is lived experience.

Healing stops becoming somewhere we're trying to get...

and becomes somewhere we've already arrived.

⚖️ Venus Enters Libra — 6th August

Justice

Justice

As we make our own journey south, Venus slips into her home sign of Libra.

Libra is one of Venus's own signs, so here she is dignified — at ease, in her element, ruling rather than borrowing.

This is Venus at her most refined: less appetite, more artistry.

Where Taurus (her other home) loves through the body and the senses, Libra loves through relating — through the space between two people, and what gets created there.

Libra is cardinal air, so this isn't passive prettiness. It initiates. It reaches out. It makes the first move, sends the message, extends the invitation.

And as the sign of the scales, ruled by the seventh house of partnership, it asks the honest question underneath every relationship: is this fair?

Where have you been over-giving to keep the peace? Where have you been calling imbalance harmony?

Harmony.

Relationship.

Beauty.

Balance.

Venus in Libra doesn't want peace at any price — she wants genuine equilibrium, the kind that holds because both sides are being met.

It feels like a beautiful reminder that home isn't only a place.

It's something we create with the people—and occasionally the cats—we love.

🦁 Mercury Enters Leo — 9th August

Strength

Strength

Mercury finds its voice.

No more whispering.

No more apologising.

Leo asks us to speak our truth with warmth rather than ego.

To stop hiding the dream.

To say the thing.

To launch the idea.

To finally admit...

"I'm ready."

🔥 Mars Enters Cancer — 11th August

The Chariot

The Chariot

The day before the eclipse, Mars enters Cancer.

Action becomes emotional.

Home becomes everything.

Protection rises.

Old family stories surface.

Mars is in his fall in Cancer — he cannot charge straight ahead here, and he does not like being asked to feel his way forward.

So his fire turns sideways. Instead of the direct strike, we get the crab's approach: indirect, protective, moving through moods rather than plans.

This is warrior energy in service of the nest. You will fight, but you will fight for the people and the places you love rather than for the win itself.

Watch for the shadow of it: sulking instead of speaking, defending instead of asking, letting resentment simmer under the surface because saying the thing outright feels too exposing.

The medicine is to let your feelings become your fuel. Name what you need. Act on the tender thing rather than around it.

Water is not weak. Water carves canyons. Given six weeks, Mars in Cancer will quietly reshape the whole landscape of your private life.

Which feels strangely perfect.

Because by now, I should finally be standing in my own home.

After what has genuinely felt like a baptism of fire.

Sometimes literally.

☀️ Total Solar Eclipse in Leo — 12th August

The Sun

The Sun

Well...

Here it is.

The moment many astrologers have been waiting for.

A Total Solar Eclipse.

In Leo.

Personally...

I believe this may become one of the defining moments of 2026.

Eclipses don't politely ask permission.

They reveal.

They interrupt.

They redirect.

Leo asks:

Where have you been hiding?

Where have you been shrinking?

Where have you confused humility with invisibility?

What creative fire have you packed away because life became too practical?

This eclipse isn't simply about confidence.

It's about authenticity.

About finally expressing the gifts you were given to express.

Something may leave.

Something may begin.

Trust both.

Because sometimes the ceiling doesn't lift...

it disappears altogether.

🌞 Sun Enters Virgo — 22nd August

The Hermit

The Hermit

After all the fire...

Virgo quietly gets to work.

The dream now needs tending.

Creation becomes practice.

Daily devotion.

Small improvements.

The kind that slowly change everything.

Virgo is mutable earth, ruled by Mercury — the sign of the harvest, the healer, the craftswoman.

The Sun here is not showy. He shines through service, through discernment, through the honest work of refining what already exists.

This is the sign of the sacred ordinary: the meal made with care, the body listened to, the inbox cleared, the habit kept when nobody is watching.

Where Leo asked you to be seen, Virgo asks you to be useful — and to notice that devotion is its own kind of radiance.

Watch the shadow though. Virgo's gift for spotting the flaw can curdle into perfectionism, anxious tinkering, or a running commentary of self-criticism.

Discernment is meant to serve the work, not to shame the one doing it.

So over these weeks: simplify, tend, repair. Sort what has gone stale. Return to your rituals.

The harvest belongs to those who kept showing up for the small things.

🌿 Mercury Enters Virgo — 25th August

Ten of Pentacles

Ten of Pentacles

Ideas become plans.

Plans become action.

Mercury in Virgo reminds us that manifestation rarely arrives through one giant leap.

It arrives through beautifully consistent steps.

And Mercury is at home here — Virgo is one of his own signs, so his voice is clear, precise and undiluted.

This is Mercury at his most powerful: discerning, practical, able to turn scattered inspiration into something workable.

What you have been dreaming, refining and quietly tending all year can now be brought to fruition.

Sort the details. Finish the thing. Let the harvest come in.

🌊 Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces — 28th August

THE MOON

THE MOON

Then...

the waters arrive.

The eclipse in Pisces reminds us that we never see the whole picture immediately.

Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac — the ocean every river eventually returns to. It is ruled by Neptune, who dissolves edges, and traditionally by Jupiter, who blesses what is surrendered. So this is not a Full Moon that asks you to decide anything. It is a Full Moon that asks you to dissolve.

And because it is an eclipse, the Moon slips into the Earth's shadow — she is momentarily hidden. Whatever you have been holding at arm's length, whatever has been sitting quietly in the shadow of your life, gets illuminated by being obscured. This is Pisces logic: you find the thing by letting go of looking for it.

With the Sun in Virgo opposite, the axis is unmistakable — the sacred and the practical, the map and the mystery. Virgo has spent the month sorting, refining, perfecting. Pisces answers with: and yet, some things cannot be sorted. Some things can only be felt. The healing here comes when the two shake hands — devotion to the detail, surrender to the whole.

Eclipses in water signs tend to move through us emotionally rather than event-wise. You may find you cry easily. Sleep strangely. Feel other people's moods as though they were your own. That is not weakness — that is the veil thinning.

The shadow side is escapism: the numbing, the overgiving, the losing of your own outline in someone else's story. Watch where you drift rather than choose. Pisces without boundaries becomes a sponge.

Dreams intensify.

Synchronicities multiply.

Feelings swell.

The rational mind finally realises it isn't driving anymore.

Don't rush to judge what unfolds.

Simply witness.

Notice the dreams.

Notice the repeated symbols.

Notice what keeps finding you.

The message may not make sense today.

But one day you'll look back...

and realise this was the moment everything quietly changed.

🔥 Jupiter Trine Saturn in Fire — 31st August

Six of Wands

Six of Wands

And finally...

Expansion meets wisdom.

Hope meets structure.

Vision meets discipline.

This isn't reckless optimism.

It's grounded confidence.

The kind that says,

"I know where I'm going now."

Perhaps this is the moment the Fire Horse finally slows to a steady canter.

Still magnificent.

Still powerful.

Only now...

working with us...

rather than dragging us behind.

🔥 Ignite Your Creation Catalyst

If July taught us to hear the still voice...

August asks us to create from it.

Not from fear.

Not from proving.

Not from rushing.

But from becoming.

This month, beneath one of the most powerful eclipses of our lifetime, I'm opening the doors to The Creation Catalyst—a fourteen-day Tarot journey through the Suit of Wands.

We'll open together beneath the Total Solar Eclipse in Leo on 12th August, journey through the fire of creativity, courage and authentic self-expression, and close beneath the Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on 28th August, allowing everything we've ignited to soften, integrate and take root.

This isn't about forcing inspiration.

It's about remembering the fire that has always been yours.

And for me, this eclipse window won't just be symbolic.

It will be lived.

As we settle into our new home beneath the Andalusian sun, with Goddess Minerva and King Athelstan hopefully forgiving us for their royal road trip, I'll be sharing the adventure as it unfolds—the highs, the inevitable hiccups, the synchronicities, the astrology, the Tarot, and all the wonderfully unexpected moments that arrive along the way.

So if you'd like to follow our journey in real time, do keep an eye on my Facebook and Instagram. I'll share updates whenever I can, internet, wildfires and feline approval permitting. 😸🔥

Perhaps that's what the Fire Horse has been trying to teach us all along.

Not to gallop blindly towards the future.

But to trust the rhythm of our own becoming.

If your soul has been whispering,

"It's time..."

Perhaps this is the month to answer.

I'd love to walk this eclipse window with you.

With love,

Tiff x ❤️
